No decentralization data available yet. Data will appear after the first era snapshot is computed.
A scientifically rigorous, multi-dimensional analysis of the Casper Network's decentralization health, updated every era.
How evenly validator stake is distributed across the network
Cumulative stake vs. cumulative validators. The further from the diagonal, the more concentrated.
How concentrated delegation is across validators
Delegating to validators with lower stake improves network decentralization.
The economic cost required to compromise the network
Simplified model assuming zero starting stake and no market slippage. Actual cost would be higher.

Minimum number of entities needed to control >1/3 of total stake (BFT halt threshold)
Validators operated by the same entity (identified by account info name) are grouped and their stakes combined before computing the Nakamoto Coefficient.
Inequality of stake distribution (0 = equal, 1 = maximum inequality)
Information-theoretic measure of diversity in stake distribution
Market concentration measure (lower = more decentralized)

Metrics are recomputed every era (~2 hours). Geographic and infrastructure data updated daily.
This index measures observable on-chain decentralization. It cannot detect Sybil attacks (multiple nodes run by the same entity), off-chain coordination, or governance capture. The cost of attack model is simplified and does not account for market impact, slippage, or locked token schedules.
